Welcome to Bumble the Truck!

We’re Kenny and RaRa (nicknames our nieces gave us when they were very young and couldn't pronounce our real names, Kevin and Rachael), and we live and travel full-time around New Zealand in our expedition truck, Bumble. She’s not just our vehicle — she’s our home, our travel companion, and the inspiration behind our children’s book series.

 

As we explored the South Island, we kept meeting children who were fascinated by Bumble. They wanted to know where she had been, what it was like living in a truck, and what adventures she had along the way. That gave us the idea to turn Bumble’s real travels into a series of warm, child-friendly picture books.

 

Each Bumble story is inspired by a real journey, and the illustrations are based on real photos and videos from the road. Along the way, we also include fun facts about the places Bumble visits, helping children discover more about New Zealand through story.

 

We created this website to share Bumble’s books, the real adventures behind them, and the beautiful places that inspire each story.
